The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the clear Book. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from heaven before which their necks will remain humbled. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. 6 Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
