Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." 30 ۞ 'Messengers' said he (Abraham), 'what is your errand' 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 That we may send upon them stones of clay, 33 marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. 36 And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. 39 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. 40 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind 41 that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. 42 And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." 43 But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. 44 they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. 45 And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. 46
