The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
