Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide, 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 and the partitioners, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
