The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
