▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 and you are watching at that time 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
