The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
