The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 What shall Make thee know that which the Striking is? 3 The day when men will be like scattered moths. 4 The mountains like the tufts of carded wool. 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what can make you know what that is? 10 A Fire vehemently hot! 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
