And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
