Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement? 83 Therefore be not in haste against them, We only number out to them a number (of days). 84 On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation 85 And drive the wicked into Hell like cattle driven to water, 86 who have no power of intercession, except those who have taken a covenant with the Merciful. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have done an atrocious thing. 89 Whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins, 90 because they have ascribed a son to the Merciful. 91 It does not become the majesty of the Compassionate God to take to Himself a son: 92 None is there in the heavens and earth but he comes to the All-merciful as a servant; 93 He knows their number and has counted each one of them. 94 and each one shall come to Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 To the righteously striving believers God will grant love. 96 So We have made it easy in thine tongue in order that thou mayest thereby give glad tidings unto the Godfearing and warn thereby a people contentious. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
