Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
