The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, 1 and the day in splendour 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 and affirmed the Truth of goodness: 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 None shall roast therein but the most wretched, 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
