By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until death approached us". 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
