Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 watching over you 11 who know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
