When the Messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said, “You are an unfamiliar people.” 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 We have come to you for a genuine purpose and We are true in what we say. 64 "So leave with your family late in the night, yourself remaining in the rear, and let none turn back to look, and go where you will be commanded." 65 And We made known to him this decree that the wrongdoers were to be utterly cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. (* To the house of Prophet Lut.) 67 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They replied, "Did we not forbid you to bring anyone to your house?" 70 Lot exclaimed in exasperation: "If you are bent on doing something, then here are my daughters." 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise; 73 And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And indeed the Dwellers of the Woods were unjust. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
