The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
God the Almighty always says the truth.
