The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 you pay attention 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
