۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 We are warning all of you about them." 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 'No, indeed' he replied, 'my Lord is with me and He will guide me' 62 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
