This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
