The chiefs of the people of Fir'awn said: verily this is a magician knowing. 109 He would drive you forth from your land; so what is it that ye enjoin? 110 Others said: 'Put them off a while, he and his brother, and send forth to your cities gatherers 111 to bring thee every cunning sorcerer.' 112 And the magicians came to Pharaoh and asked, "Shall we have a reward, if we should prevail?" 113 The Pharaoh replied, "In addition to your rewards, you will become my close friends thereafter." 114 They said, 'Moses, wilt thou cast, or shall we be the casters?' 115 He said: Cast. So when they cast, they deceived the people's eyes and frightened them, and they produced a mighty enchantment. 116 And We revealed to Musa, saying: Cast your rod; then lo! it devoured the lies they told. 117 ۞ Thus the truth prevailed and what they had produced came to nothing: 118 They were therefore defeated here and they turned back humiliated. 119 and the sorcerers prostrated themselves, 120 They said, “We have accepted faith in the Lord Of The Creation.” 121 the Lord of Moses and Aaron' 122 Said Pharaoh: "Have you come to believe in him ere I have given you permission? Behold, this is indeed a plot which you have cunningly devised in this [my] city in order to drive out its people hence! But in time you shall come to know, [my revenge]: 123 Surely I shall have your hands and feet cut off upon alternate sides. Then I shall crucify you every one. 124 They replied, "We shall surely return to our Lord. 125 for thou takest vengeance on us only because we have come to believe in our Sustainer's messages as soon as they came to us. O our Sustainer! Shower us with patience in adversity, and make us die as men who have surrendered themselves unto Thee!" 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
