And indeed this Qur'an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, - 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, "Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
