In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Alif Lam Mim Suad. 1 The Book has been sent down to you; so let your chest have no constriction because of it, in order to warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers. 2 [Say (O Muhammad SAW) to these idolaters (pagan Arabs) of your folk:] Follow what has been sent down unto you from your Lord (the Quran and Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah), and follow not any Auliya' (protectors and helpers, etc. who order you to associate partners in worship with Allah), besides Him (Allah). Little do you remember! 3 And how many cities have We destroyed, and Our punishment came to them at night or while they were sleeping at noon. 4 And their declaration when Our punishment came to them was only that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers!" 5 Most certainly then We will question those to whom (the apostles) were sent, and most certainly We will also question the apostles; 6 Then most certainly We will relate to them with knowledge, and We were not absent. 7 And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful; 8 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their soul for wronging Our signs. 9 It is We Who have placed you with authority on earth, and provided you therein with means for the fulfilment of your life: small are the thanks that ye give! 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
