Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
