HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
