The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
