Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
