The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky so that their leaders would remain bowed before it. 4 But there comes not to them a newly-revealed Message from (Allah) Most Gracious, but they turn away therefrom. 5 So they have surely belied; wherefore anon there shall come unto them the truth of that whereat they were wont to mock. 6 Have they not seen the earth in which We have made gracious plants grow? 7 Surely, in this there is a sign yet most of them do not believe. 8 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 9
