Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
