Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
