۞ Those who do not expect a meeting with Us say, "Why are angels not sent down to us?" Or "Why do we not see our Lord?" Surely, they are too proud of themselves and have greatly exceeded all bounds. 21 Upon the day that they see the angels, no good tidings that day for the sinners; they shall say, 'A ban forbidden!' 22 And We shall set upon that which they worked, and shall make it as dust wind-scattered. 23 The inmates of Paradise will have a better abode that day, and a better resting place. 24 On a Day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank, 25 and the Absolute kingdom will belong to the Beneficent God. 26 And (remember) the Day when the Zalim (wrong-doer, oppressor, polytheist, etc.) will bite at his hands, he will say: "Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger (Muhammad SAW). 27 "Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! 28 He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter." 29 The Messenger says: 'O my Lord, my people have taken this Koran while deserting it' 30 thus did We assign to every prophet an enemy from among the sinners; your Lord is sufficient as a guide and a helper. 31 The unbelievers say: "Why was the whole Qur'an not sent down all at once to him?" It was sent thus that We may keep your heart resolute. So We enunciated it by steps and distinctly. 32 And no example or similitude do they bring (to oppose or to find fault in you or in this Quran), but We reveal to you the truth (against that similitude or example), and the better explanation thereof. 33 Those who will be dragged headlong into Hell shall have an evil place to dwell in, for they have strayed far from the right path. 34
