The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 We shall facilitate for him the way to Hardship, 10 And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? 11 Surely, in Our hands is guidance, 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 who denied [the truth], and turned away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 They do not expect any reward 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
