The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 and drowned the others. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
