And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 "So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him." 29 All the angels prostrated themselves, 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 [Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. 34 and there shall be a curse upon you till the Day of Recompense." 35 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 36 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error, 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 He said: This is a right course incumbent upon Me: 41 over My worshipers you have no authority, except the perverse that follow you. 42 And verily Hell is the place promised unto them all. 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
