Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 then those whose scales weigh heavy with good works will be successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Surely I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, that they are the achievers. 111 He (Allah) will say: "What number of years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
