Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know all that you do: 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 to burn therein. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
