Noah said, 'My Lord, they have rebelled against me, and followed him whose wealth and children increase him only in loss, 21 They contrived a plot of great magnitude. 22 and said: 'Do not renounce your gods, do not leave waddan or suwa'an or yaghutha, or ya'uqa, or nasra' 23 They have misled many and the unjust will achieve nothing but more error". 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 And Noah prayed: "O my Sustainer! Leave not on earth any of those who deny the truth: 26 Surely, if Thou leavest them, they will lead Thy servants astray, and will beget none but unbelieving libertines. 27 "O my Sustainer! Grant Thy forgiveness unto me and unto my parents, and unto everyone who enters my house as a believer, and unto all believing men and believing women [of later times]; and grant Thou that the doers of evil shall increasingly meet with destruction!" 28
