Then, when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout (Lot). 61 He said: Lo! ye are folk unknown (to me). 62 They said, 'Nay, but we have brought thee that concerning which they were doubting. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 And We communicated to him the decree that by the morning those people will be totally destroyed. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: verily these are my guests, so disgrace me not. 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They said: Have we not forbidden you from (other) people? 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 and We turned it uppermost nethermost and rained on it stones of baked clay. 74 Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs. 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 And the dwellers in the wood indeed were evil-doers. 78 and so We inflicted Our retribution on them. And behold, both these [sinful communities] lived by a highway, [to this day] plain to see 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
