▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 right before your very eyes? 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
