The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
