Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Aye! they marvel that there hath come unto them a warner from among themselves; so the infidels Say: this is a thing wondrous! 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the skies water rich in blessings, and cause thereby gardens to grow, and fields of grain, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
