Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say thou: travel in the land and behold what like hath been the end of the culprits. 69 And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 "Verily, your Lord is full of Grace for mankind, yet most of them do not give thanks." 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 And truly, it (this Quran) is a guide and a mercy to the believers. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 You do not make the dead hear, nor do you make the deaf hear you call when they turn about, retreating. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
