۞ People, you are always in need of God and God is Self-sufficient and Praiseworthy. 15 He can put you away, if He will, and bring a new creation 16 And that is not hard for Allah. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 For [thus it is:] the blind and the seeing are not equal; 19 Nor are the darknesses and the light, 20 Nor are (alike) the shade and the sun's heat. 21 nor are the living and the dead equal. Allah makes to hear whosoever He will, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear. 22 thou art nothing but a warner. 23 Surely We have sent thee with the truth good tidings to bear, and warning; not a nation there is, but there has passed away in it a warner. 24 If they reject you, so did their predecessors. Messengers came to them with clear signs, with scriptures, and with the enlightening Book, 25 but in the end I seized those who were bent on denying the truth and how terrible was My punishment. 26
