The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 surely your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
