Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
