We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
