S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Sad, and by the Qur'an full of exhortation! 1 But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension. 2 Many a generation We did destroy before them – thereupon they cried out whereas it is not the time to escape! 3 And they marvel that there should come unto them a warner from among themselves. And the infidels say: this is a magician and a liar! 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have heard nothing like this in the latest religion. This is only his own false invention. 7 "What! has the Message been sent to him - (Of all persons) among us?"... but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment! 8 Or do they hold the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or, is theirs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Then let them ascend by (their) means! 10 A very host of parties is routed there! 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah, and Ad, and Pharaoh, he of the tent-pegs, 12 And the Thamud, the people of Lot, as well as the dwellers of the Wood, had denied. These were the hordes. 13 There was not one of those that did not belie the Messengers. Therefore, My retribution was realized. 14
