Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. [These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Glorious Quran. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
