Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
