Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
