We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
